Financial Manager - Port Elizabeth

Role Purpose:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our executive team. As a leading global automaker and provider of innovative mobility solutions, the company offers an exciting and challenging environment for finance professionals. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of strategic financial planning and analysis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.

Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term financial planning.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management on major business decisions.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Present financial results and insights to the executive team and stakeholders.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive risk management practices.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Drive operational efficiencies by streamlining financial processes and systems.
  • Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize resource allocation and cost management.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure the finance team is aligned with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
