Duties:

Providing leadership and overseeing financial accounting, driving business growth and monitoring business performance
Finance governance and monitoring
Driving continuous improvement in the finance function
Financial reporting: providing insight into the business and key drivers, through complete and accurate analysis on monthly reporting to assist with decision making
Presenting monthly and quarterly reviews of management accounts to group/executives
Driving efficient month end finalization through implementation of SOPs
Understanding, managing and coordinating cost saving initiatives
Strictly complying with group reporting timelines and ensuring financial compliance of the business meets group standards
Working capital management: Debtor management, supplier relationship with key suppliers is maintained and timely payments and stock management
Understanding capex requirements of the business, asset utilization, capex reporting and EVA modelling
Yearly financial audits and tax and deferred tax calculations
Driving and managing the preparation of the budgets, forecasts including timely submission to group
Continuous engagement with finance staff, training, identification of areas of improvement and management of the finance team, to ensure optimal performance are maintained

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Relevant tertiary education (BCom)
Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles (Advantageous)
Minimum 5 years' experience with at least 2 years experience in a finance leadership role
Previous logistics industry experience will be essential
