Our client a Telecommunication Specialist is looking to recruit an Infrastructure Foreman for their team in Midrand. The successful candidate will be required to effectively lead and maintain projects, prioritizing safety on the job site while demonstrating a strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols within the telecommunications industry. Conducting bi-weekly visits to communication towers in Gauteng. Attending meetings with landlords. Performing monthly electricity meter readings on all towers and communicating findings to the Finance team. Ensuring regular maintenance and cleaning activities at tower sites. Utilizing applications for efficient site monitoring. Demonstrating proficiency in addressing rust on steel and implementing preventive measures. Managing cabling work on towers and conducting essential cable testing (mandatory). Building and maintaining network cabinets (mandatory). Ensuring the upkeep of main tower structures (mandatory). Setting up and aligning point-to-point links. Proactively monitoring network sectors. Managing and maintaining links and sectors. Conducting tower climbs for maintenance purposes (preferred). Aligning tower components, including sectors and rockets. Assisting in surveys for potential new sites. Daily management and organization of tools and equipment (mandatory). Proficiency in electrical and solar wiring (preferred). Responsible for budget management for allocated expenses. Effective communication with landlords, customers, and suppliers as required. In addition, this role includes an Infrastructure Foreman component, requiring prompt readiness to address tasks as they arise. This role does require driving to sites as and when required. Matric 2-3 years in a similar role. Comfortable with heights and safety awareness. Knowledge of communication mast. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
