Our client has a vacancy in their Manufacturing Business Unit. They are looking for a person with a professional work ethic who is able to manage the commercial, IR, safety and technical aspects associated with the day to day running of a medium sized Foundry. We seek a suitably qualified, but more importantly, motivated and experienced person, with a strong technical background who is able to work well with people. EXPERIENCE • At least 8 years in the process of manufacturing metal castings & or metal products, 5 years of which should be in a managerial role. • A good understanding of Quality systems, the OHSACT and Air Quality legislation will be required. • Proven experience with the LRA • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written. • Proven experience with budgeting and financial control. • Above average competency with MS Office. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Ensure safety of staff • Production output and quality • Financial reporting • Managing day to day IR issues • Liaising with clients (internal & external) • Proactively manage machine maintenance and efficiency • Constant drive to innovate technologies used within the Foundry. • Auditing and quality control of sub-contracted foundry work QUALIFICATIONS • Technical Diploma in Engineering or equivalent. • Qualifications in Foundry Technology will be a distinct advantage.
