Our client, a leading freight forwarding service based in Cape Town, is seeking a motivated Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to join their team. Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to grow the client base. Client Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their shipping needs and provide tailored solutions. Sales Presentations: Conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients. Negotiation: Negotiating contracts and terms of service with clients to close deals and meet sales targets. Market Research: Staying informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities. Customer Support: Providing excellent customer service by addressing client queries and resolving issues promptly. Reporting: Preparing and submitting regular sales reports and forecasts to management. Collaboration: Working closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Proven experience in sales, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry. Clearing and Forwarding Sales experience High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant tertiary qualification in logistics or a related field is advantageous. Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques, excellent communication and negotiation skills. Reach monthly KPI's Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
