Job Responsibilities: Sales and Logistics Responsible for all international sales and logistics for RFG Maximize revenue and profit via various sales channels to achieve monthly and yearly targets. Manage Sales and Production Plans based on various data inputs such as crop size/spread and saleability of various products, on both the export and domestic markets, to optimize the product mix and contribution and making sure the factories are well balanced. Financial Management Monitor sales and strive for increase in sales and profitability while closely managing costs. Continuously strive to save costs and meet sales and profitability targets. Accountability for the overall financial performance for assigned area of responsibility. Prepare annual financial budget and quarterly forecasts. Manage department overheads. Internal Business Processes and Customer / Stakeholder Relationships / Quality Manage and foster close interaction with RFG's Divisions and all customers. Ensure alignment of all work processes to the required quality standards. Proactively identify continual improvement strategies. Action agreed quality, trade terms, volumes and pricing initiatives, ensuring that they are aligned to tasks/ processes/ systems. Implement corrective actions identified within specified time. Food Safety / Governance and Compliance (Including Customs compliance) Adhere to and meet all relevant safety targets and measurements within the area of responsibility. Monitor any trends in food and operational safety, governance and compliance issues and proactively address to resolve. Actively address all customer concerns. Adhere to, and lead in the compliance of all food safety and sales ethics and all other applicable regulatory statutes, and all other safety and quality systems. Monitor and adhere to all customs requirements in the various global markets that RFG ships to in relation to product, packaging and shipping requirements. People Management Manage a team of Commercial and Shipping personnel to execute the day-to-day activities and liaise with the relevant customers. Provide leadership to the team, defining objectives to be achieved by the department. Communicate the strategic direction to the market managers and agents employed. Build and cultivate relationships with agents, sub agents and direct customers. Deploy people management processes – workforce planning, recruitment & selection, learning and development, performance management, career and succession planning and employee relations etc. effectively, in line with organisational policies, procedures and prevailing improvement initiatives. Manage the working environment and ensure it contributes to improving staff morale and increasing productivity. Design and review operation's organisational structure to support operational plans and strategy, in collaboration with HR. Travel Regular international market and customer visits. Set up and attendance of trade fairs for the development of new leads. Follow up leads and turn them into a profitable business. Our ideal candidate must have: Bachelor's degree / NQF level 7 5 – 7 years' experience in International Sales Drive and Resilience Integrity and Trust Leadership and motivational skill.
