Job Description: Safety Officer
Industry: Reclaiming / Mining / Crushing Plant
Location: Pretoria West
Salary: R14,000 basic, R500 cell phone sim card, R1,000 travel (non-negotiable)

Travel: Occasionally required (Pretoria and Witsand Rayton)
Language: Bilingual; knowledge of African languages advantageous but not essential

Education Requirements:
- Secondary: Matric
- Tertiary: SAMTRAC, HIRA, Accident Investigations, COID, COMSOC or equivalent certification relating to Minning sector H&S.
- Minimum 4 years in a similar role
- Experience in a pressurized environment
- Mining background preferred

Additional Requirements:
- Technical background
- Familiarity with machinery, heavy-duty equipment, conveyors, crushers
- Ability to converse with all workforce sectors, including management
- Implement and maintain safety protocols
- Conduct risk assessments and accident investigations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Provide safety training to employees
- Monitor and inspect site conditions and equipment
- Report and address safety hazards and incidents
