Join a large, well-established FMCG Company as an HR Manager based in Johannesburg CBD. Responsible for organizational design, headcount and long-term planning aligned with the Business's strategic objectives. A crucial aspect of this role is strong Industrial Relations (IR) experience, including managing union relations and leading annual salary negotiations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the recognized union and Shop Stewards, ensuring a positive environment for collective bargaining. Lead annual union salary negotiations and update the Substantive Agreement as necessary. Oversee the administration of compensation, benefits, employment, and employee relations programs. Direct the needs of the business in terms of training and development programs, by conducting training needs analysis alongside internal shareholders Develop and implement succession planning and talent management strategies. Manage the application process for Discretionary and Mandatory Grants within the specified Seta. Oversee organizational design, workforce planning, and long-term strategic planning to support business objectives. Deliver learning and development programs to ensure all employees receive the necessary learning and development to drive the business forward. Design and roll out an Induction and Orientation process. SOFTSKILLS/ADDITIONAL INFO: Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle conflict Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement Degree in Human Resources or related field Minimum of 10 years' experience in an HR Management role within the FMCG/Retail industries Experience in a highly unionized environment; extensive experience in Industrial Relations and union negotiationss Knowledge of relevant legal conditions and legislation Experience in change management is a plus R75 000 – R90 000 CTC p/m
