HSE Facilitator / Trainer - Centurion

Reference: JHB000202-MG-1 We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Facilitator/Trainer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of training and facilitation experience, with specific knowledge and previous training experience in Working at Height (WH) and Confined Spaces. The Facilitator/Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions, developing and updating training materials, coordinating training activities, and managing administrative duties related to training programs. This role reports directly to the Operations Director and plays a crucial part in supporting the overall success of our training division. Key Responsibilities: 1. Training Delivery: Prepare the training room and all necessary materials for each course. Conduct professional training sessions, ensuring active student participation and comprehension. Coordinate with other facilitators to deliver cohesive training content. Manage internal and external training bookings and logistics. Deliver specialized training in Working at Height (WH), Confined Spaces, First Aid, Fire Training, and other OHS-related topics. 2. Training Coordination: Schedule and organize training sessions, ensuring active student participation and comprehension. Coordinate with medical evaluation providers to schedule evaluations for trainees and staff. Communicate with clients to confirm training details and address any concerns or special requirements. 3. Assessment and Moderation: Assess trainee performance through evaluations and prepare portfolios of evidence for external moderation. Ensure assessment and moderation methods are effective, maintaining high quality and consistency. Attend mandatory ETQ committee meetings and provide feedback on assessment processes. 4. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate attendance registers, test assessments, and portfolios of evidence. Compile and submit student feedback reports and monthly performance reports to management. Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling all student and client records. Maintain the company's internal training matrix to track training progress and certifications. 5. Content Development and Updates: Keep training materials and content updated based on industry trends and internal developments. Develop new training materials as needed to address emerging client needs and industry changes. Collaborate with the Operations Director to enhance course content and training methods. 6. Client Interactions and Feedback Engage with clients to gather feedback on training sessions and implement improvements. Address any client concerns or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction. Promote additional courses and services during training interactions to support business growth. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): High levels of trainee engagement and comprehension. Positive feedback from trainees and clients. Successful completion rates for trainees. Accurate and timely maintenance of training records. Compliance with internal and external standards for record-keeping and reporting. Positive client relationships and high levels of client satisfaction. Continuous improvement and updating of training materials and methods. Skills & Qualifications: Relevant health and safety certifications will be an advantage, but not a pre-requisite. (First Aid Level 1, Fire Fighting, H&S Representative, Legal Liability, HIRA, Incident Investigation, H&S Awareness). Specific knowledge and previous training experience in Working at Height (WH) and Confined Spaces is a must. At least two years of training and facilitation experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. High level of professionalism and ethics.
