Level of Authority Specialised Support Staff (Professional Training category) Local senior management Education/Training/Experience/Qualifications/Skill - Requirements Education & Qualifications: B Com Financial Management/HR Management and/or Bachelor's in human resources management Honours degree in Financial Management/Human Resources Training Requirements: Pastel accounting procedures Company Ethics and HR policies VIP SAGE Payroll Package Work Experience: HR Management exposure in manufacturing concerns Reporting At least 8 years exposure in HR management Experience in benchmarking and salary structuring Experience in CCMA cases and Disciplinary Codes/Policies Skills and Knowledge High emotional Intelligence Strong negotiation Skills Knowledge of the Basic Act of Employment/LRA/Main Agreement/ OHS/ POPI Calm, accurate, timeously and assertive under deadline pressures Knowledge of Payroll Packages and Employee Tax Key Responsibilities Outputs Recruitment, Selection and Induction Contribute to the selection of agencies and new recruits, guide managers in interview techniques; assist in screening and testing candidates Benchmark positions and assist in Job Design/Descriptions Oversee the full recruitment process and ensure compliance Appraisal , Training and development Assist in development and training programmes Assist in setting training objectives and link them to incentives programmes Evaluate all training outcomes Ensure company objectives are supported by adequate training budgets Motivation and retention Manage appraisal process and Bonus programmes Maintain an equitable work environment Manage Wellness days and Information sessions Disciplinaries and Terminations Organise, direct and conclude all formal disciplinary actions Involved in all sanction meetings, dismissals and redundancies Assist managers in application of progressive discipline Manage CCMA cases (Conciliations and Arbitrations) Ensure paperwork in place for terminated employees, including all withdrawal forms – UIF,Provident Fund, letter if service etc Ensure accurate final payments are done timeously Payroll Maintain Payroll master data and Payroll supplier relations Ensure accurate payroll data and timeous submissions of payments Ensure Compliance with various legislative requirements Ensure correct taxation on all earnings Ensure staff files are maintained -to comply with POPI act Reconcile salary control account monthly Reconcile / Manage 3rd party and statutory payments monthly on due date-PAYE, Maintenance, garnishees etc Annual IRP5's, submission to SARS with reconciliations on due date Upload to General Ledger Prepare annual RMA return Liaising with VIP as and when needed and keep updated Other management and Projects Participate in Employment Equity, Workers Forum and Workplace Skills meetings Major contributor to HR strategy and Objective setting for HRM Independent and objective advice to management on risks and opportunities Maintain good relationships with all 3rd party providers i.e. Provident, Bargaining Council, Momentum etc Assist CFO with budgets and HR Projects, Serve on remuneration committee Maintain staff policies and procedures manual Ensure job descriptions are in place Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health Continuous development of expertise and communicate any Legislative Regulation changes Apply Now
