We're accepting applications for the position of Human Resources Officer. The purpose of this position will be to take responsibility for overall support to the Human Resources Department, employees and managers in the various human resources operational areas and functions, including, recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring, general administration, and co-ordination of reporting across aspects of human resurces, employee benefits and employee/industrial relations. The Human Resources Officer will also be responsible for administration pertaining to HR and training compliance, SETA adherence, internal and external stakeholder liaison on fund application and claim requirements, inclusive of the implementation and management of information and data flow regarding all training applications, and recovery of the skills development levy from SETAs, to register learnerships, apprenticeships/Internships, Workplace Integrated Learning and Experiential programmes and skills programmes as and when required. Supporting the development and implementation of Human Resources initiatives Working closely with various departments in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures Being actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting advertisements, and co-ordinating the recruitment process Assisting with vetting of the agencies and service providers and maintaining a preferred supplier list Collaborating with management in creating and implementing effective onboarding plans and refresher training for existing employees Supporting the management and Human Resources with administration of disciplinary and grievance matters Maintaining employee records according to policy and legal requirements Reviewing employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance Ensuring meticulous handling of payroll inputs and benefits administration Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation and co-ordinating compliance procedures as well as contributing to the consultative and reporting processes Championing and creating awareness of the employee wellness programs Acting in a support role in representation of Human Resources as Social Committee member Assisting with the administration of pension and employee benefits Assisting employees with Human Resources related queries and requests Collaborating with Group Human Resources on Human Resources and People initiatives and ensuring alignment with culture and governance policy frameworks Gaining approval of the Funding and Grant strategy from Human Resources Management Team Administering internal bursary processes and applications Ensuring operational standards, efficiencies, and effectiveness Ensuring alignment of People and management practices to culture, organisational principles, and ethos Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Group and Human Resources Manager Demonstrating an understanding of the Skills Development legislation and its requirements Ensuring that all initiatives are compliant with regards to legislative requirements Ensuring all possible refunds are applied for on time, accurately and in the correct format Ensuring the submission of the company's Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report (including Pivotal) to relevant Sector Education and Training Authority for few entities Ensuring all Workplace Skills Plans are achieved within budget Ensuring all required administration is completed on time, accurately and in the correct format Ensuring funding and project plan alignment with strategic and critical (scarce and core organisational skills) as well as acquiring company approval of all Workplace Skills Plans Ensuring skills plans, reporting and documentation align with Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment requirements and deadlines Ensuring client projects are implemented and reporting is timely Developing Skills Development Funding strategies and appropriate planning and resourcing Managing application and registration for Funding from various sources and platforms Managing the fund claim and rebate process in accordance with stakeholder requirements Ensuring Skills Development Governance including governance, compliance, and fair practices Ensuring Human Resources Administration inclusive of auditable electronic and physical records and information and data Developing relevant reports and providing feedback with relevant data Collaborating and contributing to Employment Equity reporting activities A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management At least 3 to 5 years experience as a Human Resources Officer or Generalist Intermediate understanding of the Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and all other applicable legislation Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Driver's License with own reliable transport will be advantageous Knowledge of pay and benefits, recruitment, training and development, etc. Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures Experience co-ordinating special human resources initiatives and projects Knowledge of HRMS will be advantageous Apply Now
