Instrument Design Draftsman (2024/010) - South Africa
PetroMan SA requires the service of a responsible Instrument Design Draftsman at our Head Office in Centurion, Gauteng. The prospective candidate must be able to design and draft drawings and diagrams as per our tender and project requirements. PetroMan SA will provide product-specific training. This position will be contract-based, and remuneration will be paid per hour worked. Key Performance Indicators: Design & drafting of drawings and diagrams as per tender requirements. Drawings may include layout-, wiring-, loop-, cable-, installations, and location diagrams specific to the control and instrumentation of process plants. Design and drafting of PetroMan OEM drawings. Compiling the S.O.W. for tender and project purposes. Compiling B.O.M. of equipment needed for manufacturing, construction, and installation. Assist with Tender costing. Qualifications: Qualified Instrument Technician Instrument Design draftsman qualifications Drawing office design experience At least 5 years of experience in panel layout, wiring diagrams, instrument location, cable routing, and loop diagrams Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Requirements: Computer literacy (AutoCAD) Knowledge and experience in the Mining Industry Knowledge of ISA (The Instrumentation Systems and Automation Society) Intrinsic safety knowledge Electrical And Mechanical knowledge Planning Accuracy Analytical thinking Valid South African Driver's Licence (Requirement)
