We are recruiting graduates trainee for a one year trainee programme in the insurance sector. The candidate must have a minumum business / statistics / or economics university degree. The job entails administration and processing of day-to-day treaties and claims transactions and handling the company's filing and record maintenance system. Accounting Perform treaty accounts reconciliations on a monthly basis. Monitor client treaty accounts (cedants) for non-payment and follow-up on a regular basis Research, track and restore technical accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies Prepare quarterly treaty reinsurance statement of accounts, and treaty debtors' statement of accounts on a monthly basis Reporting and Record Keeping Assist in preparation of month end reports, as assigned from time, and in accordance to the Reporting List Updating the production of production statistics, as may be assigned from time to time Monthly reconciliation and analysis of reinsurance treaty accounts and claims Preparation of premium and commission adjustment calculations on treaty accounts Claims Management Take a strong role in the day-to-day claims tasks, claims administration including relevant reporting Coordinate reinsurance process across departments, tracking claims and reporting on aggregate metrics. Support and mentor staff in insurance resources, standards, data, and contacts. Review claim submissions and determine eligibility and level of coverage. File claims, enter data, and update databases with current daily information. Process claims and substantiation daily to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure that client and participant questions are addressed, decisions have been acted upon and problems have been resolved. Prepare and maintain the claims register, and the claims payments received and claims paid register on a weekly basis. Matric B Com Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics , Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management or any relevant degree To be advised to short-listed candidates
