The Junior Buyer will assist in managing the purchasing activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating prices, and establishing contracts. Maintain and update purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock levels. Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure alignment with procurement strategies. Conduct market research to identify trends and new opportunities for cost savings. Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring high standards of service and quality. Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers. Prepare and analyse reports on purchasing activities and supplier performance. Grade 12 & towards Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be an advantage. 1 year experience in a procurement or buying role is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Syspro Software ISO will be an advantage
