Established Fashion House needs a Junior Level Designer who is looking to develop their passion for fashion, ability to keep up to date with global trends with their digitial skills in this fast-paced environment. As a Graphic Designer, your role will be to, once briefed, create visually captivating designs that align with the brand image. You will work closely with marketing and our photographer and Buyer where you will use your creativity and attention to detail to develop and design for various mediums, including packaging, promotional, digital, and print materials. RESPONSIBILITIES: o Logo Design for brand development. o Branding and Re-branding of projects. o Up to the season and beyond research - of World Fashion Trends,-Seasonal Colour, and Seasonal Themes and Concepts o The coordination of Map Sheeting (Mood Boards) – World Fashion Trends, Seasonal Themes and Seasonal Colours with Category Specialist o Together with the Buyer conceptualise concepts for range building. o With the use of multi-functional marketing software and tools, assist Buyers with the design of fresh and captivating Client presentations. o Designing cover pages, headers, and other graphic elements for the required brand. o The creation and updating of signage (sticker, signs etc.). o Create and update all promotional, markdown and other marketing related activities across all departments. o Together with the Buyer, the creative design and updating of packaging and gifting including Carding o Illustrate artwork with appropriate themes for packaging. o Conceptualisation and development of CADs to develop new product concepts for new seasons o The use of CAD for suppliers and Clients for the visual appeal of the final product. o Adding logos to various branding and attend to any adjustments that the Buyers require. o Amend designs after feedback. o Update and maintain internal databases of designs (catalogues and per brand). o Ensure that packaging die-lines meet standards (measurements, pegs). o Ordering samples for approval and presentation thus you will be liaising with our suppliers in China as well as local companies. REQUIREMENTS: o A recognised tertiary qualification in Graphic Designing or similar field. o 1-2 years relevant experience in a Graphic Design space in the fashion industry. o A strong understanding of Graphic Design and have creative flair o Attention to detail. o Consistently follows company packaging standards (standardised packaging measurements and pegs). o Pays close attention to detail. o Ensures final deliverable submissions are in the correct print-ready format. o Deliverables successfully meet the brief requirements. o Consistently gives creative input and ideas; collaborates. ABILITY; SKILL AND UNDERSTANDING o Working knowledge of the following design applications: • Adobe Illustrate • Adobe Creative Cloud • Adobe Photoshop • CAD Development • Adobe InDesign o Develop design concepts, graphics and layouts based on project needs. o Conduct quality checks on designs to ensure accuracy and error-free deliverables. o Creative and artistic skills.
