If you're an independent thinker with a BTech, BSc, or BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering, this opportunity could be perfect for you What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) As a Junior Support Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in monitoring and fault finding within our client's existing solar asset portfolio. Your daily tasks will include remote monitoring, managing callouts, and providing regular performance reports. You'll also be responsible for initial system design and preparation of quotations for the sales team, based on customer input. In addition, you'll support senior engineers with detailed engineering packs and conduct technical site visits as needed. This role offers a dynamic mix of desk work and hands-on activities, providing a fulfilling and varied work experience. What you'll need To succeed in this role, you'll need a BTech, BSc, or BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in the renewable energy sector, ideally within solar. You should be proficient in monitoring systems, fault finding, and high-level solar design. Exceptional computer skills, including MS Office and solar software such as Helioscope and PV Syst, are required. You must also have a valid driver's license and be comfortable traveling frequently within Gauteng.
