Location : Woodmead, Johannesburg Salary : Based on experience (including benefits) DETAILS Our client is an established ISO 17025 accredited Analytical testing laboratory who services the Water, Wastewater, Mining, Agricultural, Viticulture and Food and Beverage industries. We're assisting them in recruiting for a meticulous, experienced Lab Analyst / Analytical Chemist with independent, hands on experience running & testing samples on an HPLC. The focus of this position includes the following: Routine analysis (HPLC, IC) Instrument monitoring, calibration, maintenance and trouble shooting Performing duties & following company QMS/SOP regulations Updating QC charts, taking part in proficiency testing, updating LIMS Training of junior analysts REQUIREMENTS BTech/BSc/MSc Chemistry or Biochemistry At least 1-2 yrs working experience running & testing samples on an HPLC Experience working in an ISO17025 Chemistry lab is preferred Expertise in environmental sample testing & analytical chemistry methods Self-motivated, accurate and hard-working team player Outstanding communication skills in English, strong computer literacy South African citizen Must already be residing in JHB & be able to commute to Woodmead daily (M-F) APPLICATION INFORMATION Commencement: As soon as possible.
