NORTH-WEST UNIVERSITY (POTCHEFSTROOM CAMPUS) FACULTY OF EDUCATION SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES IN EDUCATION POSITION NUMBER: P002860 VACANCY: LECTURER/ JUNIOR LECTURER PEROMNES: A8/A9 EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 1 YEAR 6 MONTHS FIXED-TERM APPOINTMENT PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To assist in research activities, teaching, marking and assistance in modules presented relating to AdvDip (SLM). JOB DESCRIPTION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Research Assist in research activities relating to AdvDip (SLM). Teaching and assistance Teaching, marking and assistance in modules presented in AdvDip (SLM). Attend and present induction- and contact sessions Administration Assist and aid in the development of certain documents, templates and presentation material in the AdvDip (SLM). LECTURER A Master of Education degree in Leadership and Management. A minimum of three (3) years' school teaching experience. JUNIOR LECTURER A B.Ed Honours degree in Leadership and Management A minimum of one (1) year school teaching experience. ADDED ADVANTAGES: Currently registered for a PhD in Leadership and Management. A minimum of two (2) years teaching or assistance experience in higher education. FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS) Knowledge of Leadership and Management studies in a school context. Computer literate and experience working on eFundi. KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES: Team worker Good interpersonal relations and communication Creativity and usage of innovative technology solutions REMUNERATION The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
