Logistics Administrator / Controller - Midrand

Duties:
  • Prepares purchase orders, monitors supply sources. (Stock and general procurement)
  • Placing orders with Foreign/Local inventory suppliers, tracking, arrange clearing with clearing agent and liaising with sales/marketing
  • Liasing with stock suppliers and clearing agent to ensure supply
  • Establishing delivery schedules, monitoring progress of the manufacturers and contacting clients and suppliers to resolve issues/constraints Stock procurement
  • Alert all relevant parties of any delays and managing delays with manufacturers
  • Inviting tenders, consulting with suppliers, and reviewing quotations and liaise with the National Sales Manager
  • Overseeing distribution of merchandise to our warehouse and maintaining adequate stock levels- joint responsibility with the Marketing / Product Manager
  • Obtaining information about requirements and stock and developing specifications for quantity to be purchased, costs, delivery dates and adhere to other contract conditions
Requirements:
  • Available immediately
  • 1 + years of experience in a similar role
  • Diploma / Certificate in Logistics
