Machine Tool Setter, East London - East London
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 with Machine Tool Setter or Fitting & Turning Trade Test qualification essential
- Knowledge of IATF quality systems related to machine shop
- 3-5 years production/technical experience in a manufacturing environment / production facility in a Machine Shop Department
- Ability to set/maintain all machines within the Machine Shop including writing programs for the CNC Machines
The successful applicants would be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Be able to program CNC machine Centers & Lathes.
- Load programmes and set machines
- Have the ability to read micrometers & verniers
- Able to measure accurately with precision measuring instruments
- Be able to interpret Engineering drawings
- Be able to create and read programs
- Work independently, unsupervised
- File programs and new programs in a user-friendly format
- Reduce cycle times per operation
- Operating CNC machine
- Clocking jigs, vices & tools on CNC machine work area
- Sorting, setting tools & holders
- Ability to re-sharpen all kinds of cutting tool (drills, form etc)
- Perform necessary maintenance on equipment
Salary: R18 000.00 - R22 000.00 per month
