A vacancy exists in the Maintenance department of Bravo Group Manufacturing in the Sleep Division - Woodstuff, for the following position: Maintenance Assistant Job Purpose: The purpose of the role is intended for repair, service and installation of equipment's of machinery to a Bedding Manufacturing Company, to ensure that machinery and electrical equipment are operating effectively and efficiently. Ensure that machine breakdowns are attended as per Maintenance requisition Ensure Preventative Maintenance jobs are carried out as per job cards timeously You will be requested to assist with investigations regarding negligence on machine Ensure that compressors, dust extraction are switched on and off Assist with special projects within scope of your work Conduct administration function including job cards and Maintenance reports You will report to Maintenance Manager and assist him/her to achieve uptime Keep all company equipment safely locked Responsible for stock take on monthly / quarterly basis Skills / Behavioural Dimension Required Communication – Able to write and read English Initiative – Solves problem in hand without being asked by your manager Liaise with your manager where you are not sure Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent planner for future work Work under pressure Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Team worker / Management skills Grade 12 / Matric with mathematics N4 Fitter & Turner will be advantageous Electrical Trade will be advantageous Welding is advantageous too Minimum 3 to 5 years' relevant working experience Computer literacy – MS Office Experience Required Working within Furniture industries (Wood Factory) Electrical and mechanical environment Maintenance and servicing existing equipment and machines Attend breakdowns Fault finding and fixing Working with conveyers Market Related
