Description Job description: Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment (compiled in a monthly report). Performing preventative maintenance and keeping record thereof. Performing minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary. Minor maintenance on company forklifts, trucks and vehicles (daily checks, and maintaining accurate vehicle records). Maintaining all machinery / electrical equipment at the company plant (Powder & Liquid formulation Small Packaging, offices and buildings) – taking apart machines, equipment or devices to remove and replace defective parts. Store-keeping and managing of workshop (maintain inventory of repairs, equipment and supplies) Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Respond to emergency situations during and after hours. Participating in other company activities (General housekeeping on premises, and involvement in handling generated waste) Contribution towards the company's innovative problem-solving solutions and the implementation thereof. The above responsibilities will be reviewed periodically and are subject to change. You're reporting will be directly to the Small Packaging Manager and to company directors or supervisors that may be appointed from time to time. Requirements: Proven maintenance experience. Grade 12 certificate related technical training. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogues as necessary. Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, drills, wrenches, grinders and different types of welding machines. Experience performing routine maintenance (with necessary record keeping) Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Eye for detail. Professional presentation and attitude. Ability to maintain focus while working individually. Strong time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures. Code 10 driver's license PDP and Hazchem certificate.
