An exciting opportunity has become available within the energy industry for a Maintenance Planner in the asset management division. The position is based in Bellville, Cape Town. This role is for a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. Developing, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance schedules and plans to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our facilities Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities Coordinate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to ensure timely and effective execution of maintenance activities Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, predict failures, and plan preventive maintenance Prepare detailed job plans including labor, materials, tools, and equipment required for maintenance tasks Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment histories Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance efficiency and effectiveness Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget Continuously improve maintenance processes and systems to enhance reliability and minimize downtime Relevant qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance planning or a similar role Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, techniques, and best practices Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other planning tools Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Certification in maintenance planning (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMRP) is a plus Strong probing and analytical skills Critical thinking skills with attention to detail Excellent oral, written and presentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work in cross-cultural settings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
