Description Hire Resolve's Client is urgently seeking a talented and experienced TAF and EandS Manager to join their team , a leading pan-African investment bank . This full-time position will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and will involve significant travel. As a TAF and EandS Manager , you will play a pivotal role in managing the technical assistance facility ("TAF") and ensuring robust environmental and social (EandS) risk management across our investment portfolio. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and sustainability of our investments in Inclusive Financial Institutions (IFIs) across Africa. Responsibilities TAF Administration Management: Identify and evaluate relevant technical assistance (TA) projects for prospective portfolio companies, both during the investment process and post-investment. Lead the onboarding process for new TA projects, including proposal preparation, consultant selection, budget negotiations, and project coordination. Oversee all reporting and monitoring functions, including specific reporting to key TAF funders, measuring goals, impacts, and case studies. Manage the annual audit of the TAF and assist in its administration, including invoicing. Maintain and update TAF Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance with funders' requirements and alignment with investment and EandS objectives. Monitor compliance of beneficiaries with the Fund's EandS policies and exclusion lists. Maintain and update the list of prospective consultants for different types of technical assistance projects. EandS Management: Lead EandS risk analysis during transaction due diligence, in collaboration with the investment team. Coordinate with external consultants for EandS due diligence. Manage periodic and annual social performance and EandS reporting for the Fund and stakeholders. Maintain and update EandS policies, due diligence templates, reporting mechanisms, and tools. Facilitate internal trainings and knowledge sharing on EandS with the investment team and stakeholders. General: Undertake other tasks related to the TAF or EandS as required. Liaise with investors, internal stakeholders, and external parties on TAF and EandS matters. Represent the firm at conferences, webinars, and other events related to TAF and EandS. Support discussions with potential new investors. Undertake TAF and EandS related work for other funds that Verdant Capital may raise in the future Requirements Minimum of five years of experience managing technical assistance projects and/or EandS management for or on behalf of impact investors or consultancies. Bachelors DegreeExperience working with or within microfinance institutions / IFIs is preferred. Experience working in Africa is advantageous.
