Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Duties and Responsibilities: Report additional manpower in the event of breakdowns (in respect to battery limits and performance standards). Ensure warranty conditions of equipment and parts are met and maintained. Provide input to maintenance planning and review the maintenance schedule. Attendance of relevant safety and production related meetings. This includes Forum 3, Forum 4 weekly planning meetings and daily production meetings. Report to client on monthly basis on the following: Equipment failures, Failure Root Cause Analysis Maintain metrics such as; MTTR, ROCOF, Highlight repetitive failures, Parts utilisation per equipment including, but not limited to: Quantity, type and value; Reason for replacement or repair; Component life reached vs expected norm; Perform lifecycle cost analysis The maintenance of the whole crushing plant, which includes the overseeing and facilitation of work to be carried out by alternative OEM service providers. Responsible to source the required expertise to perform the required work if not available from on-site staff. Identify the need for planned maintenance activities and obtain a quote from the respective OEM. Provide client with complete and detailed maintenance schedule. Ensure compliance of staff, with, necessary medicals and Inductions for OEM's Adhere to the correct legal appointment structure, as determined by the Mine and the applicable Legislation. Compliance to all other duties as required by the Mine Health and Safety Act no.29 of 1996, client's contractor management and SHEC SPI's, OPI's and COP's. Review and suggest addition site control measures in QCP's where applicable Effectively use allocated human resources on site and appoint required site project human resources additionally required to maintain all equipment within the contractually agreed schedule and specifications Monitor all logistics, including material and services required to perform maintenance within the contractually agreed schedule and specifications Monitor expenditure on site and assure continuous alignment with allocated maintenance budget Monitor suppliers/service providers against agreed orders, schedules and planned completion dates Monitor safety and health compliance with customer, site and applicable legal requirements with assistance of SHE officer Monitor quality compliance with the assistance of Site Supervisor Risk Management: Monitor implementation of site-specific risk mitigating measures and add additional measures if necessary Escalate any control measures that are not correctly applied or are not effective in minimising the risks Assure correct initiation and keeping of records with correct index of suppliers and other supporting staff as required in the Company management system, contractual documentation and legal requirements Assure that modifications to equipment are captured and documented (redline drawings, ERN's etc) Coordinate maintenance improvement with relevant personnel/manager and update Corrective Preventive Action Request(CPAR) accordingly Verify implementation of agreed improvement action and update CPAR Monitor effective closure with assistance of Site Supervisor, of issued CPAR upon identification of any non-compliant material, parts or equipment Arrange/agree on rework/scrap action with applicable manager/supplier Verify and sign-off after successful rework Get feedback regarding preventive action and update in CPAR system Monitor close out of equipment and final punch list with assistance of Project Quality Officer and involved suppliers/sub-contractors Assure legal compliance in all aspects of maintenance on site and take immediate action to correct any identified non-compliances Observe and curb spillages on machines and structures and report to operations Job Requirements: BEng or equivalent technical qualification Understanding of RCM (advantageous) Understanding of ISO 55000 (advantageous) Previous experience working with OEM equipment in a maintenance environment (preferable) Minimum 10 years' maintenance experience within the mining industry Experience working on large, industrial machinery Apply Now
