Marketing Coordinator - North Johannesburg

Reference: KZN000012-EA-1 Purpose: The Marketing Coordinator supports the work of the Merchant marketing team on projects directed at brand awareness, maximising company profits and developing communication (internal/external) / sale / marketing strategies or campaigns in the formal retail market of South Africa. The successful candidate should have a flexible attitude, the ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail, an eye for design and excellent organisational, administrative and writing skills are essential. Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to: Assist with researching, formulating and providing cost comparisons for internal staff campaigns, such as a Staff Year End party and Long Service Awards, as well as tactical Gifts or Promotional Items for prospects, clients and staff, etc. Event management from a marketing point of view in terms of liaising with organisers, stand layout, stand design, managing marketing promotional material, prizes, gifts, banners and the VR game (Virtual Reality headset) for exhibitions and retail brand member meetings. Assist with arranging client/prospect photo shoots and video testimonials (logistics). Assist with copywriting for client/prospect mailers, leaflets, brochures, memes, social media posts, staff comms, etc. Meme and GIF creations for staff, clients, prospects and sales campaigns. Manage push notifications via the App clients and users. Assist with compiling a PowerPoint slide show for monthly marketing reports. Manage social media community management: Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter. Manage client and prospect birthday mailers via CRM tool. Possible future task may include to manage renewal communication via the CRM tool. Assist with new staff onboarding by checking the Company welcome (intro) mailer, providing necessary branded clothing, stationery and marketing collateral as well as creating access to necessary tools like NFC Codes, Business Cards, Personalised QR Codes, staff photos, as well as updating the online lead forms, etc. Compile and monitor staff, client and prospect surveys via Survey Monkey (tool), and update surveys for relevant ongoing campaigns (i.e. Cash-in-Transit collections, etc). Assist in managing the banner stock and replacement of broken items. Assist in managing promotional items. Liaise with printing companies on print jobs to ensure deadline management, ensure that printed material is in line with colour palette and typography corporate identity specification guidelines and that stock reach the various branches and consultants in outlying areas. Implementation of monthly email signature, Webflo login screen, website pop-up creation and implementation. General content updates on website. Assist with marketing campaign reporting/monitoring. Assist in organising possible staff related conferences, workshops and events. General administration tasks to support the marketing department and fulfil any task to build the brand or promote sales initiatives (as and when required) Education and Qualification: Matric Marketing or Public Relations qualification preferable Experience and Skills: Computer literate on MS Office, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint. Understanding of Canva and Survey Monkey or similar tools (advantageous). Own vehicle and South African Drivers' License. 5 or more years' experience in marketing, communication or branding preferable Strong administrative, communication, organisational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
