2IC to the Head of Marketing.To manage the day to day operational requirements in driving all marketing collateral to create brand, jackpot and winner awareness through the most effective and appropriate marketing strategies for the relevant products in order to drive sales. This requires effective management and maximisation of owned, earned and bought media platforms. Responsible for the development and the management of operational marketing plan and to oversee the executing and implementation of the various efforts associated with the plan, including the evaluating of the results of various marketing campaigns, the spearheading of market research efforts and the coordination of initiatives across a variety of channels. The position is also responsible for the development of marketing programs and game development for specific channels, by understanding the South African markets need to lead acquisitions, foster customer retention, provide sales support and advance brand building for the National Lottery and all games. Strategy planning & formulation. Grow sales through targeted marketing strategies. Marketing and communications. People and vendor management. Merchandising/trade marketing. Policy and process management. Budgeting/financial management. Knowledge of gaming products and services. Knowledge of marketing tools. Knowledge of media types. Knowledge of how to effectively maximise media to drive brand visibility. 10 years' experience as a Marketing Manager. • Significant project management experience i.e. managing a number of large multi-stakeholder projects in parallel in a deadline driven environment. • Experience in building complex marketing programs and reporting on results. • Strong passion for maths. • Experience working as a mathematician or similar role. • Programming experience • Product management and game development (Gaming experience is essential).
