Maintenance Millwright SCOPE To ensure uptime of all maintenance significant items through carrying out planned and corrective maintenance within the health and safety perimeters. RESPONSIBILITIES Preventative Perform preventative maintenance as per schedules to 90% completion per month. Do daily checks as per schedules and requirements to 100% completion per month To reduce downtime by taking part in breakdown analysis sessions General Any reasonable task delegated by maintenance supervisor. Attend to all breakdowns Perform standby duty with own transport Work overtime as and when required. Maintain plant availability at 96% through swift and high-quality work. Admin Complete job requests in a detailed and accurate manner. Do stock counts machine components. Complete machine checklists in a detailed and accurate manner. Build a file of evidence of performance for performance reviews. Safety Immediately inform manager about any defective piece of equipment. Perform statutory inspections, (fire engine) (PEE) Perform LOTOTO where and when required. Maintain zero lost time injury target Maintain zero first aid incident target. Abide by Health and safety standards within the plant Maintain hand tools good working condition. AUTHORITY Stop any defective piece of equipment which poses danger to any staff member. Report any unsafe act observed in factory INTERRELATIONSHIP Reports to the Maintenance supervisor. Deliberate with production on a day-to-day basis. EDUCATION Qualified millwright with at least 3 years relevant experience. N6 diploma or studying towards it (beneficial) TRAINING Hydraulics - basic level required. Pneumatics - basic level required SKILLS Soft skills Good team player with excellent 5S standards Creative approach to problem solving. Trustworthy Brilliant work ethic. Impeccable time management Attention to detail in all aspect of the job. Self-motivated. Good written and oral communication. Using logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems Hard skills level 1 (preferred) Problem solving on temperature control circuits AC and DC motor connections and testing. Start delta wiring Hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder repairs. Engineering (drilling, tapping, bending, pressing, cutting, arc welding) Read, analyse and interpret hydraulic schematics to solve breakdowns Read, analyse and interpret pneumatic schematics to solve breakdowns Read, analyse and interpret electric schematics to solve breakdowns Setup of AC drives. Basic arc welding skills Conveyor maintenance Recognise electrical components Testing of input and output signals on PLC controls Dismantling, assembling and installing machinery. Hard skills level 2 (beneficial) Control circuit testing on pressure and linear transducers. Control circuit testing of proportional valves. Panel wiring from electrical drawings. Basic circuit design. Good understanding of mechatronics. EXPERIENCE (can be concurrent) Minimum 2 years' experience in problem solving of hydraulic and pneumatic systems faults.
