Our client a Commercial Property Company, part of a JSE Listed Top 40 Group, currently has a vacancy for a National Facilities Manager to be based in Johannesburg. To optimise the life span of the buildings across the country by determining the maintenance requirements and creating a maintenance plan within the allocated timeframes at optimal costs while continually re-evaluating, by working with tenants (advise, assist and support) to meet their maintenance obligations and balancing with the landlords' responsibilities. Advise, support and assist tenants to ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures across the country. Advise and assist tenants to ensure all equipment and building provisions to meet best practise, health and safety requirements. National Diploma/Degree: Facilities Management, Property Management, Project Management. Minimum of 5 years portfolio facilities management experience within the commercial property environment. Experience with drafting/compilation of planning and maintaining facility budgets. Professional leadership experience. Contract negotiation and handling experience. Advanced mechanical and plumbing skills. Electrical, Mechanical and General Building Infrastructure, and Project Management such as HVAC and other building systems. Valid SA Driver's License and own transport. Willing and able to travel regularly within Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town. Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles. Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel.
