JOB DESCRIPTION Key Responsibilities: Business BI super user: Business expert in BI tools and advanced Excel to build, create and develop reporting and dashboards, based on business needs. Ensure data requirements and visibility in place: Assist the Merchandise and Management teams to be able to make decisions efficiently and effectively to maximize sales, analyse performance and optimise stock efficiencies. Develop and deliver reporting and dashboards: On business performance to all teams (Finance; Marketing; Operations; Merchandise and Management). Drive analytics and insights to provide business stakeholders with necessary visibility to deliver objectives. Own the Distribution Centre relationship: to ensureefficientDC throughput via optimisation of the supply chain and stock flow to ensure execution of business needs and opportunities. Drive stock efficiencies: by providing weekly insights into style level detail and trends. Drive Online availability: Through regular reporting and analysis, assisting the Merchandise team with visibility of online product intelligence; maximise sales through product availability for customers. Support all functions within the business with regards to data queries, data integrity and ad hoc data requests. Continuously review Business Intelligence reporting: to enhance, improve and streamline efficiencies and visibility. Manage non trading accounts . Communicate effectively with Stakeholders Build and maintain relationships: with IT; Logistics and home teams Manage own personal development: through performance management, IDP and talent management processes. Request training and feedback on performance and strive to improve based on these interventions Adhere to the Group's values and leadership principles and understand and participate in Employer of Choice strategies and initiatives Take personal responsibility for all issues facing the department , work as a team. Communicate with your line manager regularly and make recommendations on improving efficiencies in the department Qualifications and Experience: Relevant tertiary qualification 3-6 years' experience with report compilation and analysi Skills: A high degree of numeracy with an analytical, detailed and strategic approach to work Advanced Excel skills Knowledge of Retail preferable Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and add-on applications Strong business acumen and merchant thinking Good organisational and interpersonal skills Good communication and negotiation skills Proven decision-making ability Strong affiliation to systems; rapid upskilling on new applications and tools The ability to influence and work with internal stakeholders as well as external business partners with a strong focus on alignment across the various areas and team work Requirement interpretation Commercial thinking Behaviours: Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision making, interpersonal relations, problem solving, teamwork & written communication Comfortable and effective influencer. You need to be flexible as the environment is very dynamic and priorities can change. Sets ambitious goals and takes focused action to achieve desired outcomes to deliver measurable results Adapts effectively to situations that are complex, uncertain, or lack guidelines and clear information Interprets and simplifies complex and contradictory information when resolving organisational problems Assesses and improves the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of various work processes Develops plans and prioritises initiatives that align to the organisational goals and objectives Effectively adjusts their behaviour, approach, and decision-making based on the situation Thinks and plans strategically, focusing on the long-term goals and objectives of the organisation Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
