Source, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services. Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, resolving any issues or discrepancies. Export Procedures: Ensure compliance with all export regulations and procedures for shipments leaving South Africa. Prepare and manage export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth and timely export operations. Cost Control and Budget Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets to ensure cost-effective purchasing practices. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain. Supplier Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders. Conduct regular supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings. Analyze market trends and supply chain data to inform procurement strategies and decisions. Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in procurement at a multinational company. : Comprehensive understanding of export procedures and regulations, especially for exporting out of South Africa Knowledge of Vehicle, Truck, Earth Moving and agricultural parts used in Forestry. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Familiarity with international trade laws and regulations. Experience in supply chain management or logistics. Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, APICS) is an advantage.
