The Procurement Officer will be responsible for all procurement activities within the organization speciliazing in demand planning. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising procurement processes, ensuring the cost-effectiveness, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance whilst meeting deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Adjusting procurement plans based on demand forecasts to ensure optimal stock levels. Communicating with suppliers to align delivery schedules with demand forecasts, ensuring timely availability of materials. Identifying and selecting suppliers who provide the best quality products and services at the most competitive prices. Negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers. Establishing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers. Managing supplier contracts and agreements, including renegotiating terms when necessary. Implementing inventory control measures to minimize excess and obsolete inventory. Working closely with quality assurance teams to resolve any quality issues with purchased goods. Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Staying updated with technological advancements in procurement and supply chain management. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in procurement Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in procurement.
