Pulse Health is looking for a Professional Nurse to assist VMMC Clinical Associate in the provision of VMMC services to clients Assist VMMC Clinical Associate in the provision of VMMC services to clients Ensure that theatres are prepared and ready for operations Prepare clients for procedures Apply anaesthesia/ block Screen clients Conduct post-operative observations services Conduct post-operative reviews on clients Maintain supply log book and equipment check list Ensure equipment is in order and well-functioning Draw bloods as may be required Participate in Quality assurance and improvement visits and respond to queries Ensure adherence to infection control protocols Provide on-going supervision to other team members including Enrolled Nurses when required. Ensure that clients' information is properly and accurately recorded and reported Report all AEs observed during review visits Report all abnormalities observed during pre-operation screening Participate in research activities of the clinic as may be required Diploma/ Degree in Nursing Sciences Registration with SANC mandatory (South African Nursing Council) VMMC certificate mandatory Experience in MMC and providing assistance during surgery Generic Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Non-judgmental, trustworthy and empathetic personality Committed to treatment of HIV, STI and TB Strong personality and work ethics, with an ability to maintain confidentiality Works well with other team members Excellent counselling and interpersonal skills Ability to work non-traditional working hours, which may include weekends from time to time Willingness to work after hours Ability to travel as and when required Drivers licence Ability to communicate in multiple languages will be an added advantage Ability to take initiative, plan and monitor activity flow and outcomes, capacity to work underpressure, initiating action , professional knowledge and skills, decision making, respect for patients The list of tasks/duties and responsibilities contained in this document is not necessarily exhaustive, and the employer is entitled to instruct the employee to carry out additional duties or responsibilities, which may fall reasonably within the ambit of the role profile or in accordance with operational requirements Market Related
