PROFESSOR IN HUMAN MOVEMENT SCIENCES Minimum Requirements: - A relevant Doctoral Degree
- At least 9 years experience in higher education
- Professional registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in the category of Sport Psychology
- Extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in Sport Psychology
- A track record of international and national accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Professor
- Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Professor.
- Evidence of successful national and international fundraising for research.
- Recognition as an established scholar in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating, international keynote addresses/ plenary lectures).

Responsibilities:- Provide academic leadership in research; curriculum design, development, and implementation.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules.
- Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of professor.

- Supervise all levels of postgraduate students and host post-doctoral fellows.
- Establish institutional, national and international collaborations.
- Provide academic leadership and contribute to mentorship of academic staff.
- Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research.
- Contribute to University service and participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university levels.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN HUMAN MOVEMENT SCIENCE Minimum Requirements: - A relevant Doctoral Degree
- At least 7 years experience in higher education
- Professional registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in the category of Sport Psychology
- Extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in Sport Psychology
- A track record of international and national accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Associate Professor
- Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters and/or Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Associate Professor
