Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients POSITION OVERVIEW In this newly established role, reporting to the Group Managing Director, the incumbent will be responsible for governance, alignment, assurance and management of regular reviews for accountability and successful management of projects, stakeholders and suppliers. From time to time the company has various critical projects and initiatives that require execution focus where no other capacity is available to manage these projects which form a program of key initiatives under the GMD and or a Group Executive. Key Performance Areas Planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action. Defining the programme's governance arrangements. Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards Managing the programme's budget on behalf of the Company, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses. Facilitating the appointment of individuals to project teams. Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements. Ensuring there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programme's individual projects. Managing third party contributions to the programme. Managing communications with all stakeholders Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects of the Company Managing risks to the programme's successful outcome. Working with the Company or Executive on the transition of projects once these are ready to form part of normal business operations. Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise. Reporting the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the Company . To behave in a professional manner at all times, reflecting and maintaining the values and ethos of the organisation and generating a positive image of the organization and to adhere to all the organisation's policies and procedures. Sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation and regulations, including legislative and regulatory bodies within a specific environment Sound knowledge of the different business systems, associated applications and the interrelationship between the business systems. An appreciation for the fact that engineering data forms the backbone of Quality Assurance and Control in the organisation. Knowledge and understanding of the company policies and procedures applicable to the specific work environment to ensure that work outcomes are compliant to the policies and procedures. Sound knowledge and understanding of the Safety, Health and Environmental Act and the application thereof. Sound knowledge and understanding of the transformation, the instruments and processes included in the transformation and the leadership requirements to ensure that the transformational process is concluded. The ability to apply planning techniques to conduct effective planning of work outputs and resources. The ability to communicate effectively and efficiently at all levels in the organisation The ability to manage conflict in such a way that the cause of the conflict is understood by all relevant role players and that the issue causing the conflict is resolved. Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills the ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes sound business case development and approvals skills good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties good knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP and PRINCE2 good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme the ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems Applicable post graduate degree Registration with relevant professional body will be advantageous At least 5 years' experience in management Relevant business experience Relevant exposure in an regulatory environment Working knowledge of the relevant requirements (i.e. NNR Act, SHEQ-INS, OSH Act, and Nuclear Energy Act. Hazardous Substance Act, Medicines and related substances control Act) Experience within a highly regulated environment Sound knowledge and understanding of quality management, the systems and processes involved, as well as the legal and regulatory requirements Applicable post graduate degree Registration with relevant professional body will be advantageous At least 5 years' experience in management Relevant business experience Relevant exposure in an regulatory environment Apply Now
