We have numerous ongoing projects in South Africa and are seeking an experienced Project Planning Manager to oversee the planning and scheduling of a large-scale photovoltaic (PV) project and its associated transmission lines. As the Project Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining comprehensive project plans and schedules for the photovoltaic project and transmission line construction. Your role will include resource planning, progress tracking, and ensuring that project milestones and deadlines are met. Key Responsibilities : Develop detailed project plans and schedules in collaboration with project teams. Monitor project progress and update schedules as necessary. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals. Identify potential scheduling delays and implement corrective actions. Prepare regular progress reports and present them to senior management. Manage resource allocation and ensure efficient utilization of project resources. Ensure compliance with all relevant project planning standards and procedures. Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts. Liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in the renewable energy sector. Proven experience with photovoltaic (PV) projects and transmission line construction. Strong knowledge of project planning tools and software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices. Preferred Skills : Experience with large-scale solar PV projects. Familiarity with South African construction regulations and standards. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Apply Now
