Purchasing Manager - Kwazulu Natal A leading FMCG exporter is currently looking for a skilled Purchasing Manager to oversee all imports via air and sea freight. Based in Seychelles, this role demands expertise in procurement and supply chain management within warehousing and distribution, particularly in handling FMCG and perishable goods. The ideal candidate should possess prior team management experience, along with a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and the ability to navigate high work volumes effectively. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO: Procuring goods at competitive prices for the Seychelles market Collaborating closely with the company's Business Development Managers to ensure accurate pricing for new goods Managing stock turnover rates and minimum order quantities Forecasting product demands and lead times Handling problem-solving and claims resolution Providing market support Leading and managing the Purchasing team REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5 years of experience as a Procurement Manager in FMCG or perishable goods warehousing and distribution. Minimum 5 years of supply chain management experience. International work experience. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting. Proficiency in importation via air and sea freight. Expertise in perishable products and supply chain management. Advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with exclusivity, pricing, value chain, and claims processes. Strong negotiation skills. Working proficiency in Syspro and Qlik Sense.
