M&L Laboratory Services (Pty) Ltd (part of the Bureau Veritas Group of Companies) is recruiting a QC/QA Coordinator based in Ormonde (Johannesburg) to perform quality control and reporting to the Quality Manager. and to ensure full compliance to ISO 17025 as well as ensuring OECD GLP requirements are met Co-ordinate all quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA), within the Laboratory. Priority to ensure consistency is met in the laboratory. Ensuring laboratory compliance with the requirements of the Company Quality Management System and Departmental procedures at all times. Compile, implement and maintain the procedures and supporting documentation in accordance with the ISO 17025, and OECD GLP requirements. Perform Inspection of the laboratories. To train and develop staff personnel in the laboratory to their full potential and to ensure training sessions are attended according to the approved Training Schedule. To schedule internal inspections and witnessing of activities in accordance with the requirements of the Quality Procedure for Internal inspections. To ensure competency records and Training and Competency Task Matrixes are updated. To be present during external or internal inspections. To schedule and ensure participation in proficiency testing schemes, and perform trends. To monitor log books, schedules, etc. within the laboratory. To ensure timeously investigation of OOS, deviations, complaints and Corrective Action Requests (C.A.R.'s) within their Departments; that root cause/s are properly identified and CAPA properly identified WITHIN stipulated time lines and that all these are registered within the Quality Management system (Quality Department) as stipulated per Quality Procedures. To plan, organise and write new procedures and also review existing procedures to ensure that they always contain the latest and accurate information. To review validation plans and reports. To keep abreast of techniques, developments and legislation relevant to the Department. To maintain confidentiality of all M&L information. To perform any other reasonable and lawful duties; this may become necessary depending on Company requirements. Key Behaviour Ethics Strong analytical skills Attention to detail Good communication skills Time management skills Flexibility Positive attitude Tertiary qualification in Chemical field e.g. BSc: Analytical Chemistry or similar Proven knowledge of ISO 17025 Proven knowledge of OECD GLP requirements Proven Supervisory skills Minimum of 5-10 years' work experience within a Quality control field Key Skills Ability to compile, implement and maintain the QMS system Investigation of OOS, deviations, complaints and NC's to establish root cause Initiation of CAPA's Passionate about Quality Thank you for your interest in Bureau Veritas and for submitting your application.
