Employment: Permanent, full time position Area: Centurion, Gauteng Salary: R30 000 – R40 000 per month – negotiable Benefits: Provident fund and bonus in December Important notice: This is a hands-on position and will be responsible for maintenance of a 34 000 m2 distribution centre building on a 60 000 m2 land. There is not a maintenance team, and this person will have to work independently and must be an all-rounder maintenance man. Qualification: Mechanical/electrical Engineering qualification (minimum N3) will be preferable with at least 5 years' experience in managing maintenance, engineering, and technical professionals / teams in the manufacturing and warehousing environment. Qualified electrician essential (Trade Test) Essential requirements: Must have previous electrical/mechanical maintenance management work experience within the manufacturing and warehousing environment. Previously worked on electrical systems, UPS, DB boards, aircon systems, fire systems etc. General facilities maintenance and management of a large warehouse environment. Maintain electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems, offering engineering support; managing staff. Building cross functional relationships with suppliers and supplier management Additional skills/competencies: Electrical, mechanical and Electronic troubleshooting, Technical Leadership, Technical Understanding, Developing and managing cost budgets, Equipment Maintenance, Safety Management, Attention to Detail, Conceptual Skills, Facilities Management Systems Problem Solving - Identify and resolves problems in a timely manner. Project Management - Develops project plans and communicate changes and progress. Complete projects on time and within budget. Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills. Teamwork - Balance team and individual responsibilities which fosters group commitments to goals and objectives. Business Acumen - Understand business implications of decisions; aligns work with strategic goals. Planning/Organizing - Prioritize and plan work activities, sets goals and objectives.
