Reference: PE002558-VD-1 Our client in Agricultural (Citrus) industry is currently looking to employ a Quality Manager based in Kirkwood. The role of the Quality Manager is to provide citrus quality guidance to the packing facility and ensure food safety compliance. A wonderful career opportunity awaits you. Requirements: Grade 12 (Umalusi national senior certificate). A relevant B-Degree (M3) (Plant pathology, Microbiology, Food Science) at a recognized and SAQA accredited university will be advantageous. Applicable quality management experience, preferably in fruit agriculture. 5 or more years integrated exposure. Knowledge of the fruit agricultural industry. BRC training and experience. HACCP training and experience. AVCASA will be an advantage. Internal Auditing Training and experience. Good understanding of agricultural exports. Extensive understanding of the portfolio of Quality Management. General business acumen. Product knowledge and product ranges. Intermediate usage of Microsoft Office. Facilitation, Coordination and Analysis. Liaison and Communication. Excellent client relationship building skills. High capacity to represent the brand. High degree of client engagement. Ability to multitask. Remain attentive in an often-busy environment. Be naturally calm and focused. Be versatile if participation in other types of activity is required. Managing an integrated team. Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to: Food Safety – BRC: Deputy leader of Food Safety Team Assist with Managing, implementing, maintaining and auditing of the Food Safety System Monitor and advise on continuous improvement of the Food Safety System. Fruit Quality: Manage, train and monitor the Quality Team Monitoring and communication of all fruit quality standards to ensure the final product meets requirements and standards Manage inspections of quality personnel Liaise with managers and staff in the company to ensure the Quality System is functioning properly Develop, implement, maintain and improve quality systems Ensure compliance with packing guide of the company.
