Company/Business Profile RMAA South Africa is a Specialist Vehicle Modifier, providing products and services to South African OEM's and modified vehicles into specialized applications. PURPOSE The Quality Engineer is responsible for: Ensuring that vehicles meet the required quality standards and specifications, overseeing all quality control processes, identifying areas of improvement in the process to enhance efficiency and quality. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Working with and representing the Quality Engineer in his absence. The QA Supervisor will also be responsible to perform inspections on vehicles and monitor all QA processes. Functional Area: Quality & Inspection Collect various quality data and prepare FTT report, NCR, Quality Alert, Warranty claims, and CAR/PAR. Incoming inspection of parts and vehicles. Patrol Audit. Quality Management report Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner. Write and update inspection procedures and quality check sheet. Update the vehicle quality report daily. Review incoming and final line inspection reports as completed by the inspector. Review torque and patrol audit results and provide information required for SPC. Follow-up and review results of the quality processes within the quality system and advice and initiate instructions if not conforming with the quality policy. Performs general administrative duties for the quality department. Taking minutes in Quality meeting, filing and distribute documents. Support production engineering and other departments by preparing the required information on non-conforming quality issues. Must provide evidence to support root cause analyses for containment action and problem solving. Attend the daily Customer quality meetings at Ford (Pic Room) Resolving suppliers' issues Functional Area: ISO Conduct internal ISO & supply audits. Backup for Quality Manager Backup for Quality Control Inspectors when needed. Ad hoc duties required by an authorized person. Knowledge Responsibilities Knowledgeable about automotive systems, technologies, and processes Maintaining a good relationship with the customer Using of quality tools e.g.: 8D report, 5 Y's, etc. Staff Leadership Responsibilities : Manage & motivate workforce. Liaise with HR Education/Certification : Matric/Grade 12 Total Quality Management Qualifications (Advantage) Divers license Knowledge, Skills, And Experience: Essential: 2 years' experience as Supervisor 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment – preferably within the Automotive industry Excellent command of English, both verbal & written Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office Desirable: Knowledge of vehicle parts & vehicle modification parts Broad knowledge of ISO Processes Other: Sense of urgency / deadline driven Excellent Attention to detail Good command of English Good Time Management skills Team player and Team Motivator Logical and structured problem-solving approach Good general competency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs and Outlook (email and calendar) Self-motivated, persistent, assertive, and dependable Apply Now
