Reference: PTA001212-TR-1 A well-established London based firm, specializing in corporate finance, tax and accounting is seeking a dynamic R&D Tax Associate to service and build long-term professional relationships with a varied portfolio of clients across their R&D and tax services offerings by resolving technical tax queries, preparing R&D tax credit and patent box claims, and providing accurate information to clients, enabling them to make informed business decisions. Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a relevant B. Com. degree An understanding of corporation tax and R&D reliefs is required Strong numerical ability and great attention to detail Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as a logical problem-solving mindset The effective use of IT tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, and relevant tax packages is essential Awareness of the cost implications of actions and meeting set budget requirements is important The successful candidate will be responsible for: Preparing R&D reports and tax relief claims for submission to HMRC including report writing. Performing detailed industry and client research, including due diligence. Liaising with internal teams and clients to source relevant information. Conducting extensive analysis and calculations in relation to R&D costs. Capturing relevant corporation tax computation entries. Submitting online to HMRC and subsequently monitoring claim progresses. Communicating effectively with colleagues and HM Revenue & Customs. Preparing patent box claims. Undertaking ad hoc projects and other duties as may be required. Completing time sheets accurately and on a timely basis. Ensuring the Firm's technical, ethical, and compliance procedures are adhered to in all cases.
