The Raw Material Buyer is responsible to ensure that all raw material is received on time and as required. Also to manage the PPE for the group. Aggregate layout: Know the layout of all the bins. Ensure that there is no contamination between bins. Ensure that correct aggregates are placed in correct bins. Look at ways to improve the storage of aggregates and how to clearly mark and measure the content of all the bins. Raw Material Calculation and Receiving: Ensure to have production requirements from sales before production start. Check all aggregate bins in the mornings to consolidate the requirements of raw material. Suppliers should know exactly how much aggregate to deliver. Constantly monitor the suppliers to ensure that he delivery of aggregate happens as required to ensure that production does not have to wait for material. The weighbridge personnel must know exactly where the specific truck must offload the aggregate. All documents to be collected from weighbridge in order to ensure that the GRV's received. Do spot checks on the aggregate to ensure that the quality is correct. The Quality Manager should be informed of any problems. PPE: Obtain of list of all employees. Manage receival of PPE. All PPE must be locked and proper control must be in place. Tools: Responsible to purchase all tools required in the production process. All tools to be approved. Diesel: In control of the Diesel usage. The pump to be inspected on a regular basis. Damage to the tank to be reported immediately. Record keeping and documentation: All receipt vouchers and delivery notes to be collected. Once GRV's are done submit to finance department. PPE record management. Matric with Mathematics A relevant tertiary qualification will be desired Experience in procurement / buying of raw material in a manufacturing environment will be desired Computer literate Own vehicle with valid drivers' license
