We are curretly seeking a qualified Raw Material Manager to join our team. As a Raw Material Manager you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and own the inventory strategy for raw material and finished goods. The Raw Material Manager will oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirement. Ensure that the operations have always an adequate flow of the raw material needed. Managing Material and Mixing Department as well as the Hopper loaders. Managing a team's progress and maintaining a positive environment. Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. Planning and managing raw material movement and mixing process. Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs. Oversee distribution of raw material in the organisation. Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications. Manage all raw materials and conduct inventory audits, maintain compliance guidelines, and supervise purchasing to balance material shortage/surplus. Manage and controlled raw material, requirements, spillage and mixing ratios. Manage and controlled slow moving and dead stock. Seeking out savings opportunities while maintaining quality standards. Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc. Ensured records are effectively completed and provided to relevant people as per arrangement Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities. Work pro-actively, on a daily basis, with the production supervisors, maintenance and other departments to ensure schedules are maintained. Grade 12, Bachelor's and or Collage Degree in Business, Engineering, Business/Administration, Education, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Management. Minimum of 4 years previous experience having worked within the plastic raw material or related markets. Leadership skills Ability to work independently and as a team player. Strong organisational and administration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to operate equipment in a safe manner. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Attention to detail. Communication Understanding the product. Time management The salary is market-related and negotiable, depending on relevant experience and qualifications. Apply Now
