Venter Trailers is looking for a youthful, energetic person with previous sales experience to join our team at our Head Office in Roodepoort, Gauteng. A Venter Trailer salesperson is responsible for selling trailers, accessories, and spare parts to customers, including individuals and businesses and Venter Trailers dealers. This role involves understanding customer needs, presenting trailer options, and closing sales, as well as maintaining customer relationships and providing excellent service. Here are the key duties and responsibilities of a Venter Trailers salesperson: Sales and Customer Service : Greet and assist customers in identifying their needs and preferences for trailers, accessories, and spare parts. Provide detailed information about various trailer models, features, accessories, and spare parts. Demonstrate trailers and accessories and explain their functionalities to potential customers. Product Knowledge : Maintain in-depth knowledge of the trailers, accessories, and spare parts, being sold, including specifications, pricing, and available options. Stay updated on new products, industry trends, and competitor offerings. Sales Process Management : Guide customers through the sales process, from initial contact to final purchase. Prepare and present quotes. Negotiate prices and terms of sale to meet both customer needs and sales targets. Inventory Management : Keep track of available inventory and ensure that the showroom is well-stocked with a variety of trailer models, accessories and spare parts. Coordinate with the purchasing departments to order new stock as needed. Ensure that trailers are properly displayed and maintained for customer viewing. Customer Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals. Follow up with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or concerns. Maintain a customer database to track interactions and manage future sales opportunities. Marketing and Promotions : Participate in marketing efforts, such as attending trade shows, exhibitions, and other promotional events. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns. Utilise social media, online platforms, and other marketing tools to reach potential customers. Administrative Duties : Process sales transactions, including handling payments and completing necessary paperwork. Maintain accurate sales records and prepare reports for management. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards. Performance Metrics and Goals : Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics set by the company. Monitor personal sales performance and identify areas for improvement. Team Collaboration : Work closely with other sales team members to achieve overall sales goals. Coordinate with the service and finance departments to ensure a seamless customer experience. Share best practices and support team members in achieving collective success. Technical Assistance : Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for customers regarding trailer usage and maintenance. Coordinate with the service department for more complex technical issues and repairs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Understanding of sales techniques and product knowledge Previous trailer sales experience would be an advantage Be proactive, customer-focused, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Matric / Grade 12 Fluency in English Market related benefits commission
