Description RPO's client, a reputable healthcare facility in Mitchells Plain, is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Scrub Nurses to join their theatre department. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate and professional nurses to be part of a leading healthcare team, providing high-quality care and ensuring the best outcomes for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain the operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other sterile supplies Ensure the sterility of the operating area by adhering to strict infection control protocols Monitor the patient's vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration as needed Maintain accurate patient records and document all nursing care provided during surgery Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and a seamless surgical experience Participate in the surgical team's briefings and debriefings to enhance patient care Provide post-operative care and support to patients in the recovery room Requirements Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license Minimum of 2 years of experience as a scrub nurse in a theatre setting Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Benefits Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Continuous professional development and training opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for career advancement within the organization Access to cutting-edge medical technology and resources If you are a passionate and dedicated nurse looking to make a difference in the theatre department, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
