SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - Pietermaritzburg
RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SENIOR ACCOUNTANT for a large well-established concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg outskirts, KwaZulu-Natal.
JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
BCom Degree (majoring in Accounting and Taxation)
Completed SAICA articles.
CA(SA) advantageous.
Registered with SAICA or SAIPA.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Advanced MS Excel skills.
5yrs+ previous working experience in a similar position or CA(SA) with 1-2 years post articles experience.
Strong understanding of an ERP system and data warehouse functions.
Responsibilities include the daily operations of the finance and administration department and providing management accounts and other reporting, including financial planning and budgeting, reporting and budget variances, cost control and cost analysis programs.
Review and authorizing payments.
Administration of the fixed asset register.
Administration of VAT.
Administration of corporate income tax.
Monthly finance administration.
Monthly financial reports.
Year-end financial administration.
Administration of financial procedures and internal control.
