We're accepting applications for the position of Senior Life Claims Assessor. As a Claims Assessor, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and processing death, critical illness, disability and incapacity claims. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the validity of claims and ensure that they meet the stipulated criteria for pay-out. Performing all death claims related activities which include claim processing, responding to claims related queries and complaints Applying fund rules, policies, legislation, administration procedures and the service level agreement when processing Meeting production standards in terms of quantity and quality Liaising with employers and service providers Attending to the fund central mailbox and responding to queries within the service level agreement Undertaking any other duties as determined by business needs and participating in all organisational events as required Drafting resolution letters Investigating and reporting fraudulent claims Handling complaints Fulfilling reporting functions, contributing to a transparent and accountable claims assessment process Investigating and reporting fraudulent claims, actively participating in complaints handling Meeting production standards for both quantity and quality, demonstrating excellent administrative skills Handling death claims activities, responding to queries and complaints promptly Upskilling the junior assessors Assisting with junior assessors' overrides and approvals within your mandate Matric and valid RE5 Representative Certificate At least 4 years group schemes administration and claims experience Expert understanding of benefits such as death, disability, incapacity, critical illness and funeral Strong administrative and communication skills Strong investigative, problem solving and decision making skills
