Senior Project Manager IT/Business (JB4507) Randburg, Gauteng R45 000 to R75 000 a month CTC Permanent As a Senior Project Manager IT/Business, for a well established large Courier Company, you'll lead project planning efforts, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies. Conducting project kick-off meetings, creating business and functional requirements documents, and allocating resources are key responsibilities. You'll also identify risks, monitor progress, and serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. Additionally, you'll establish quality standards, manage project finances, handle change requests, and promote continuous improvement in project management practices Minimum Requirements: National Senior Certificate, Grade 12, or similar qualification Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; PMP certification preferred Proven experience in project management roles, with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex projects from initiation to closure In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, with a strong understanding of project management software Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience in risk management, change management, and stakeholder engagement within project management contexts Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation, with the ability to manage project finances effectively Adaptability and resilience to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development Duties and Responsibilities: Lead project planning with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and deliverables Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies Conduct project kick-off meetings, outlining goals, roles, and responsibilities Create Business Requirements Document (BRD) and Functional Requirements Document (FRD) and define project scope Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment Provide leadership to project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment Identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies Monitor project progress and address issues to keep projects on track Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and partners Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment with project objectives Establish quality standards and performance metrics for deliverables Conduct regular quality reviews and implement corrective actions Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, soliciting stakeholder feedback Develop project budgets, forecasts, and financial projections; track expenses and resource utilization Identify financial variances and implement cost-saving measures Manage change requests and assess impacts on project scope, schedule, and budget Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders and adjust project plans accordingly Promote continuous improvement, leveraging lessons from past projects Stay updated on company changes, procedures, and structures Ensure optimal system and process knowledge through continuous learning Maintain a “can-do” attitude and seek opportunities for improvement Be a team player Build collaborative relationships to achieve objectives Provide input in departmental meetings for decision making and improvement Identify and recommend changes to address issues within the allocated area Work under pressure and extended hours when required Kontak Recruitment Disclaimer: Equal opportunity: All backgrounds are welcomed, with no bias.
