We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our property portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Accounting Operations: Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Property Management Support: Collaborate with property managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and tenant billing. Assist with lease administration, including rent escalations, reconciliations, and tenant charges. Conduct periodic audits of property financials to ensure compliance with company policies. Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance, tax regulations, and internal controls. Coordinate and support external and internal audits. Prepare and file required financial reports and tax returns. Financial Planning and Strategy: Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and best practices. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. Coordinate with other departments to streamline financial operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Articles preferred. Minimum of 3 years of property accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
